Rear fog light switch problem

ok so took her for mot this am and amongst other things failed because the tell tale light on the switch wasnt working ...

The rear fogs are on, just no orange light on the switch , any pointers please ,and how do i get to the back of the switch in particular .

Well that will depend on the vehicle which I haven't a clue on but usually it's pull the switch.

on the 300, you can use a small flat head screwdriver if you are careful and lever the switch out. not sure if the bulb is replacable, if not then go to the scrappy and get one

ON D1 simply pull whole switch unit out of binnacle . Bulb is accessed by little circle with a cross cut into it on side of unit but are not easy to come by , easier , as already pointed out , to get another switch from a scrapper , and theres no shortage of D1s in scrapyards as insurance companies wont pay to repair them . Other than that , cant help you .

For D1 below other discos haven't a clue

Stc1877 - bulb & holder assembly, orange
Stc1878 - bulb & holder assembly, green

cheers guys ,ill have a look at getting the switch out tomorrow . i take it LR no longer supply the bulbs then ?
