I can see that there is 2 nuts on the under side of the handle on the panel trim, but they seem to be rounded off and are very hard to get too anyway!

Any other way of removing the rear door trim without removing the handle first? I want to take my spare wheel carrier off but the trim is in the way..

I also want to replace the door trim with something more custom, any ideas on designs for it?

the bolts are at a weird angle, so make sure the socket (use a long reach 10mm) is square to the bolt. If they are actually rounded, use Irwin sockets.

Yeah I used a 10mm long reach but couldn't grip the damned thing! Also don't have any Irwin sockets will have to buy some :(

As I said the angle of the socket on those bolt heads is critical, otherwise it can just slip off. Have yu a 3/8 socket - that might just grip?
Or a 6 sided socket, rather than the usual 12....

Pretty sure I have a 3/8 will have to check when I get to the car... I don't have a 6 sided socket but they're only a couple of quid I'll try that also.

Once the handle is removed can I just pop the trim off the door? Not bothered about snapping the plastics as I'm going to replace it anyway.

Are they just bolted/screwed in? I assume I can just undo the bolts/screws holding the speakers and amps in and either cut the wiring to get it out of the way or just disconnect them.

I have a new set of fixings I can use so not bothered about breaking all the clips on the actual trim, thinking of having a new section of wood cut out and either putting some steel on it or some newer leather as the material there now it dreadful.

Does the handle bracket fit to the door as im trying fit an handle to mine but theres no threaded holes on the actual door

And rangey if you undo sub theres a connector its that easy

Didn't get a chance to try this yesterday as we needed food shopping apparently... Hopefully gonna give it a try tonight as I'm booked in at the garage tomorrow for my rear shocks fitting...tried for hours on Saturday couldn't get the bolts out :(
