Rear door problem

My Freelander Rear Door and Window have stopped working, both electronically and manually. The door doesn't even open with the key. I also have a problem with the Hill Control and ABS indicator lamps coming ON after a few minutes of the car starting, then occasionally clearing and coming back on again for no reason. The horn also sounds when I lock the doors. I have searched the threads and found the previous references but can't find a solution. I know it's an electronics problem but the local LR service center can't find a problem (despite charging £300 + for the privilege). I've tried the suggestions in one of the threads for checking the CCR unit and opening the rear window by holding the closed button on the remote, neither worked. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The horn sounding means the end of the world......ooops no means somethings open

That might indicate that the rear window is not completely closed (which was something I had considered). But if I can't open the door manually with the key, how do I get the window to move open or closed?

yer horn tootin is saying [ifink] yer door isn't shut ,sounds like yer door solenoid latch is fooked ,could also be a cable fault in the same door ,un if yer window wont wind down could be all jammed un could er snagged the leccy bit. . . .i'm gettin all depressed . . . .goin down the pub
