rear door lock latch

Hi guys any ideas about a door lock mehanism thats finally gone capput, was playing up for a while and this morning broke completly.
The actual pivoting latch on the door that the spigot mounted on the door pillar goes into wont lock, ie its just floating

I know there is a thing about the small springs breaking but do they have anything to do with this bit? at the moment i have the door tied shut....not ideal

so again its the actual pivoting latch that refuses to lock at the top of its travel

any ideas greatfully recieved

Just gotta get in there and take it apart. As long as you take your time and plenty of photos its ok. Probably spring or something plastic broken.

OK thanks chaps, got a s/hand one on the way along with a set of five replacement springs so should be able to sort it somehow
