Hey chaps,

My rear dimister (Def 90 TD5) is broken, tried that paint on metal crap and it still doesnt work. Already re-wired the high level brake light so thats no issue. However I would like to be able to demist the back, short of getting a new one I came up with what may be a good idea.

Using on of those 12V plug in heaters, which yes do suck balls but could work to help demist the rear. Now am I right in thinking I could strip the wires and plug them into the current connectors for the demister?

they are only 150w, so i reckon 2.5mm wire would do. have a look and see what the rear things rated at. however, the wire is long and you could lose some of the current. Also chuck it on a 15amp fuse

tis on a 15A fuse already IIRC, done the same ting to mine, works ok, 150W 12V jobbie, mines screwed to the headlining stiffener pointing at the rear window. works off orighinal wiring/switch.

erm, no idea then... mines wired back to the connection to the loom.

get a spare lamp and see which ones live if you haven't got a multimeter :)
