Hi All,

My Freelander series 1 2.0 td is making a rough noise coming probably from the rear diff.
When i drive with my foot slightly on the pedal around 1500 rpm the sound is there...when i release the pedal and i go to neutral.. the sound disappear.
Also when i accelerate over 1700rpm..the sound is disappearing again.

Is there maybe a damage bearing or the problem is something else.

I appreciate all your comments and hope something can help.

Thanks
Regards

Zoran

Pressing the clutch pedal?

Not sure it is the rear diff... But someone else may have some ideas.

Hi ZDomZ

Actually if I press the gas pedal that is happening.
In neutral...the sound disappears.
For example...I drive in fourth gear at 1500rpm...with the foot slightly press on the gas pedal and the sound is there. If I accelerate more...over 1700rpm the sound disappears. Also when in neutral...at 1500 less or more rpm the sound is not there.
