Hello guys could I have some help please I have seen all the old posts to do with this and I'm sure you have read them all to but I been trying to sort this out all day.
I've done all the checks like fuses, bulbs, wires, earths the lot and narrowed it down to them getting no power at all for some reason (red/yellow i cable I believe. But center brake light works ? 55 plate freelander td4

My manual shows brake light feed as green/purple wire.
Red/yellow is the rear fog lamps. Sure you are not getting them muddled?
Brake light feed to the outside brake lights gets same feed as the high level so the problem is either:
From loom to light, bulb holder or bulb or connector. Loom splits out in rh rear boot side panel.

I have also seen the wrong bulb fitted which doesn't make contact properly, but not likely as both sides are duff.
Find the green purple wire and check feed then check and make sure you check the correct bulb. Brake not fog.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply mate I checked the high middle brake light wire and that is green and purple but the ones that are not working (both sides) are yellow red into the back of plugs. the fog lights are the same bulb socket as brake lights
