rear axle rrc

Morning peeps,
My classic has chipped a cog in the rear diff making driving her impossible. Do you think I need to replace the entire axle or can I get away with replacing the diff only. The next problem I have is finding one that isnt going to cost the earth. As I just been laid of work, this is the last thing I need. If anyone has any ideas, I will be eternally grateful. Thanks.

They are basically the same diff centres in all RRC's from year dot. So you should be able to pick up a secondhand one quite cheap. A lot bigger job changing the whole front end and you don't know what you are getting.

change the diff only, check breakers and ebay dunno wot price youll be paying though

Just changed my entire rear axle. Snapped mounts. Diff is pretty good.
