Not had my first landy long only couple of weeks now and Iv fallen in love with it , it's a disco 1 300 tdi
Had it on a ramp today and discovered the rear arches are fecked proper metal worm so looks like I'm going to have it welded up new arches and sills both side as I think she's worth it :)
Iv seen on evil bay done replacement arches that weld straight in so to speak anybody tried these before? What would be a good price to get this work done if I was to strip out all the interior first ?

Take a peek at the sills, rear x member, boot floor, body mounts, bulkhead and front inner arches ad well. Chances are they are on the way. Footwells go too! May be worth having a rethink if everything else is screwed. In that case, buy a clarke mig welder from machine mart and some sheet steel and have a go. But its time consuming and intensive so make sure you have enough time. Good fun tho. Good luck

Hehe doing mine just now after Mot fail. Got near side sill done today ( off side sill done last year and front and rear wheel archs. Then got front most and rear most mounts to do ,then a crater come extra door in the boot side. Used YRM as said . Very good, quick and decent prices and fit perfectly. Here's some pics of before and afters with my welding attempts.

I can't find my finished arch repair pics but here is the similar near side hole and the off side repair ( not YRM just me having a go with some spare steel.not the neatest but it's not on show this area
