Really annoying grinding noise

ever since ive bought my Lander, everytime i use the front wipers, they make a sort of loose/grinding noise that is really really annoying!
Its not the blades, i have changed them
but i have no real idea as to what it could be,

It could just be a case of spraying some WD-40 on to one of the mechanisms, but i'd rather ask for some advice first before i go making the problem worse than better :doh:

Can anyone help please?

Try not to use wd40 on the wiper mechanisms as it will penetrate and get rid of any grease in there. Inspect that theres no obstruction in the mechs and then grease up.

The windscreen wiper linkages are all under the plastic scuttle escutcheon at the base of the windscreen. Haynes manual gives you a good talk through to get to them. You might want to get some new plastic rivits but they cost pence to replace.
