so I’m thinking of re-spraying my defender but debating whether to fully strip it into parts and get them sprayed individually and replace all the seals between each panel or just mask the windows wheels etc and give it a good rub down making sure all my panels are in line then re-spray it ?? What would you all advise it better ??

I’m doing mine panel by panel, but that’s because I’m rebuilding it onto a new galv chassis. From looking at the state of some of the surfaces that have little to no paint, I would advise everyone to do it panel by panel. It can only help to prevent it corroding away.

decisions decisions.... if you have the $ then go the whole hog but really, is it that amazing to go 10/10ths?? not like they are show ponies - 4wds are for going bush - defenders especially. i would just tape it up and do a closed door job myself. show pony defenders look ridiculous. so much better things we can do with our money for the world. fill it up with fuel and take some disadvantaged kids for a holiday some place instead. :)
