RE Help with gear box

i live near stevenage and have a series 3 land rover. i cant get it into 3rd or 4th gear. ive taken the top out and it looks like the 3 springs have disapered.

no local garage fix gear boxes. should i try myself?

i cant actulay find a secondhand gear box anyway

a & m gearboxes in edmington say its to much hassle and they dont do them.

help and suggestions would be great, even **** taking right now would help cheer me up!

I had 3rd and 4th drop out of my old S111 box the sincro's break up normally and thats it. Seat box, tunnel and floor out, box up and out the passenger door. I fitted a S11 box no sincro in them just double clutch.

Can't help you with any second hand boxes as i don't know of any at the moment. I have been out the landy circle for a while.
