Hey! I've purchased some new seals for both rear cargo windows and the tailgate glass as the old ones were all cracked and leaking water into the vehicle. I thought that while the glass was out, i'd have them tinted to stop prying eyes

Anyway, they're back from the tint shop and I've put the rubbers around the glass but to heck if I can now seat them into the Disco. They are sooooooooo tight. No amount of baby shampoo is getting them in..... any ideas before I get ****ed off?

The tailgate should be a little easier as the rubber seal is thinner.

A mate is supposed to be coming round one evening to help me but I don't want to waste his time if we can't get them in

Help please

If you put some thin wire in the groove where the steel sits all the way around the rubber over lap each end bit of washing up liquid get a mate to hold in place on the out side and you pull the wire from the inside should pop in no problem.

Have had a practise with this and it seems to work :) Now waiting for mate (hint, hint Stu) :D

The problem I was having was becasue the string was too thin. I'm now using 35 amp cable and it seems to work with lots of baby shampoo

I got the cargo seals from a mate. Genuine land rover too :D

The rear seal I got from the local land rover dealer who took £35 from me :(

But still, it needed doing as the dam things were all cracked and leaking.

This was the outcome...
