Hi,

Gonna be installing the led light set at weekend just done the flasher relay. Has anyone got any helpful tips or tricks?

Also do you have to install all your lights as led or can you keep repeaters and reverse and fog light as standard?

Thanks

I haven't fitted these yet but depending on HOW they designed the flasher unit it will be based on a certain power and so will rely on front and rear indicators, side repeaters and dash light all being an expected power output so I would theorise that once the RDX flasher is installed you may have to install all the flashing lights or you might find them flashing too quickly or slowly. As for fogs and reverse lights these are basically just lights on a switch so you shouldn't have to install these to avoid an issue.

I got a full set of these on my 110, I haven't changed side repeaters and have had no problem. Only issue I have had is with the LED number plate light, after a few weeks it begins to flash on/off all the time - I have replaced 2 of them now. No need to do reverse or fog as same time but worth it, they are 100x times brighter then the standard lights, Quite a few people have commented on how much brighter they are.

You've been told a million times about exaggerating :D

To be fair, the standard lights are utter rubbish so multiplying them by a factor of 100 still might be realistic :p

Going getting a full set of these soon too as I'm sick of dodgy indicators and brake lights. Going replacing my headlights to LED versions a friend bought recently too that look great as they still don't look very different to the original headlights.

 LED headlights...seriously? Do you have a link :)

Mission successful, managed to get all the led lights on and wired up and new holes drilled in about 3 hours. Two didnt work but took me a while to try change out the fuse and hey presto.

Def recommend, nice and bright and look ace! with try and put a pic up soon

Right just fitted a set of these and very happy i am,But i did have a problem with the indicators. After fitting and wiring them up I tried them and when I indicated left they all flash and the same on the right,a quick phone call to Bolt on Bits its sorted.Apparently 99.9% of Defenders dont have this problem but what a surprise i did.It is something to do with the dash warning light which they sell a part to correct the problem.Basically i took the bulb out of the dash and they work perfect.:)
