Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is a RAVE CD. Is it the same as the cd that you can buy at the Heritage Motor Centre ( see piccie ) or is it more detailed than this.

I only ask because I was given one of these last crimble and don`t want to spend ages downloading the same thing!

Ta.

Computers aren`t my thing. I tried downloading it a while ago and it took an hour, then I couldn`t open it. Much swearing later I gave up!!!!

Rave disk is a pdf copy of electrical diagrams, servicing procedure, info about design and operation of LR products, FL, Disco, RR and Def models. You can also buy the disk on ebay for a few quid.

Hi!
I tried downloading the RAVE MICROCAT parts CD which is a .nrg file, but when ever I download it I get gibberish letters on my screen. Does any one have a parts catalogue for a Defender 110 in a soft copy?

you need to to burn it to a cd in order for it to work. use a program like magic ISO or MagicDisk to convert it. An NRG file is like a zip file and has to be unpacked to work.

I have downloaded RAVE from greenoval and burnt it onto disk using nero. I still cannot get it to open. about the only thing that appears is a few small pictures which are like screen shots and they are in german!

Again apologies if I am being a bit stupid, but like I said computers are not my thing,

Thanks.

Cracked it!!!!!

Did my best John Cleese impression, got a branch from a tree and warned my computer that I`d had enough and that this was its last chance to work before I gave it a damn good hiding.
:violent:
It started working!

Or it could have been that I suddenly realised that you can click on the opening screen.:frown:

DOH!!!
