All these isolator switches can be bypassed very easily with a short jump lead. You would need to keep it well hidden, but still in a position where you can access it.

If I could rig up a system that ment you had to do a combination of things to start your landy, eg press the brake indicate flash light and turn the radio on all in order would anyone be interested? You would be able to set it to anything and any order you wanted and maybe with a hidden bypass switch. Just something I've been looking into doing to mine

I was going to try fit a cut off switch fitted with a hidden switch. Could only go as far as the fuel in the lines.

Also anyone know if you can pick up tlit sensor? That could be fitted as an aux alarm?

Picture a sturdy steel bracket fixed beneath the brake pedal, and a corresponding tab on the pedal arm itself both with holes that lined up with brake pedal depressed; If you padlocked these together so the brakes were held 'on' would it do any long-term damage to the master cylinder or calipers?

I appreciated the bracket on the floor would take a little more work to secure rather than being simply bolted to some thin sheet, and the pedals themselves would need looking at - but still - would it work?

It would be virtually impossible to use 3' bolt cutters inside the cab to cut the lock off, and it would cost next to nowt to make beside the lock itself...

No brakes means it can't be driven (far) - same as a claw or pedal box though - but I will admit I overlooked releasing a bleed nipple. ..

Handbrake? The scroats won't care they're knackering it in the process. Can be towed a looooooong way though.

pop off steering wheel and when u park it up at nite slacken the wheel nuts off on all 4 wheels a little bit, they wudnt notice that.see how far they get like that.cant imagine they wud come with a wheel brace lol

i didnt realise theifs came with a full tool kit either.and youd tighten ur wheels up with a pair of mole grips and think they wud stay on??? lol

I don't understand the delight in trashing ideas  No security is perfect but everything helps.

Besides.....your welcome to come and try to manoeuvre my 109 out of a tight parking spot with a pair of mole grips :p

If you would remember RATTY SAID with removable steering wheels they can be driven away with mole grips. And he also said that , that was no form of a security measure. So take it back to RATTY and don't pop my chops Bitcha :p

I've no problem with pointing out the weaknesses of different methods.....It's the hysterical laughter that confuses me

If you're going to diss peoples ideas fair enough but take responibility and not come back with ''but ratty said.......'' like some whinging gurl :p
