Rattling... Annoying!

Out the other day just bombing around a field... Started to notice a loud rattling... can hear it above engine noise... and only really does it in 4th and 5th... you can hear it more clearly when on nice flat straight roads but its gettingl ouder and i cant tell where its coming from. I dont think its the actual engine itself, might be inside the cab? Ive checked everything for tightness and everything seems fine, but the rattle is still there, sounds like somone shaking a can full of pea's... Any ideas people?

No lol, nah its not that, I drive most of the time with my hand on the gearstick anyway, and its done it with my hand on it... Ive sorted all other major rattles... but this is still there.

It's not them silly backplate things on your front discs is it?

UJ's are fine, its not as loud as that... more tinny than anything... Another bloody annoying rattle is the speedo needle... ****es me off with its frantic ticking... New cable? Um... what are those plates for? on the discs i mean... I mashed a rabbit through the left one once coming home late from a razz in a field... It bent it... Wasnt much rabbit left tho... Can I take them off? Do they do anything?

do yu have a heat shield on the exhaust? cud be that......
Disc plates are stone guards. sum peeps remove them - they dont appear to be important, and are not MOTable.

Rattling... Annoying!
