Anyone know if the olive on a Def 200tdi dipstick tube will fit a 300tdi dipstick tube, the reason I ask is I've fitted a new 300tdi turbo and exhaust manifold with a Steve Parker 300tdi-series exhaust conversion kit ( was a Def 200tdi originally ) and the 300tdi exhaust down pipe is close to the Def dipstick tube and I don't think it will bend enough to not foul anything so i'm thinking of fitting a 300tdi dipstick and tube as it should be the right shape if not may need a slight tweak.

The only other option I've got is to fit a Disco 200tdi dipstick and tube but even though I have the part number's for the Disco 200tdi dipstick and tube I can't seem to see any for sale and if I put the part number's in the search box on the paddocks site nothing comes up, what do you think.

Wont fit, tried it when I swapped from 300 back to 200 in previous landy, bodged it to fit but it was a struggle

Once i've got the bulkhead and got everything out of the garage from going away ( bodywork ) i will get the engine and gearbox out again send the gearbox away to Syncro gearboxes to have the gearbox recon'd and H/R tranybox fitted and paint the engine, was going to paint the block BMC engine green but have decided on black now with the rocker cover and inlet manifold being painted silver, want to go with black silicon intercooler pipes with painted silver steel pipes rather than having it looking a bit boy racer ish with blue silicon pipes and i plan to use the original air filter aswell ( disco 200tdi fitted )

Early Dad's day pressie from son and new wife, will be fitting this soon :D

Making a start today to get all the bodywork out of the garage and onto a tarp in the back garden and covered up plus once I've swept the garage out and had a bit of a tidy up re-position the landy in the garage and if I've got time I will start removing the engine and gearbox ready for painting the engine and sending the gearbox away to Syncro gearboxes :)

Painted the engine today, I painted the rocker cover and inlet manifold earlier in the year with Alloy wheel silver so sprayed the timing case and engine back plate with the same and decided on painting the block in engine black, was going with BMC engine green but decided not to, anyway here's the pic's :)

Yippee my money has come through, so that's another £5k I can throw at the 2a bearing in mind £1.300 of it has already been spent on the new galv bulkhead which I owe out and I need roughly £1,200 to have the gearbox and transfer box refurbished / uprated so i'm just starting a new list of bits I need to carry on :D
