rattle

hi my freelander engine shakes now and then ,i was told it could be the dual fly wheel and clutch ,these were re newed approx 12 mths ago ,now it has started doing it again ,is there any other reasons for this to happen ?

What does the rattle sound like?

its more of a pretty violent shaking of whole of the car plus it doesnt seem to want to switch off

Doesn't sound like the flywheel unless it's come loose. Petrol or diesel?

Knowing what Freelander it is might help.

Lots of reasons. It needs a full diagnostic really. There are many potential causes to an engine running roughly, and the DMF isn't one of those causes.
The DMF on the FL2 is very good, and seldom needs changing before 200k miles.

I'd take it to a trusted Landrover specialist, to get a proper diagnosis done.
