RANGE ROVER WON'T DRIVE

Hi there can anyone help or give advice anything would be great help..
I have automatic range rover TD6 diesel and won't drive..

She ticks over and starts up fine.. engine is all good, but won't drive.. It will go into gear.. But when you put it into Drive it makes a surging sound.. And won't move.. Any ideas what this could be please?

What model Range Rover?

Didn’t just say copy paste your other post.

Did you read the link?

need more info as they are not the best gearbox in the first place.
Last service? Oil change it any?

Any history?

There has been a recent thread on a similar problem. So two possibilities to look at first, splines stripped on front prop shaft or front half shaft popped out of diff splines. Get someone to sit in the car, engine running and foot hard on the brake, engage drive and with a torch, look and see if the front prop shaft is spinning.
After that, it really needs to go on diagnostics, could be a gearbox or transfer box problem.

Hi it is a L322 TD6 the milage is 142,779

It's had replaced autobox oil, and filter
Replaced split turbo hose, turbo pipe,
And serviced 8months ago, I parked it up due to going away.. I just started it up yesterday went 2yards up the road and it cut out on me.. No gears at all and wouldn't drive..

And now it appears the RAC “man” thinks it’s low on oil, humm why.

If it was working well before, perhaps you should select low, then high and try it again
