Stuck with Auto Range Rover won't drive

Hi there can anyone help or give advice anything would be great help..
I have automatic range rover TD6 diesel and won't drive..

She ticks over and starts up fine.. engine is all good, but won't drive.. It will go into gear.. But when you put it into Drive it makes a surging sound.. And won't move.. Any ideas what this could be please?

No need. Everybody that don’t know, don’t know either. Not sure it’s tax efficient though may need to look into it.
