Range Rover Vogue SOMETIMES WONT START

Hi I have a Range Rover Vogue 2003. Sometimes it refuses to start. Othertimes its fine. Had it checked out. Code reader flashed an imobbolizer fault which was cleared . Today it was reluctant to start. Finally it did. Drove it for half hour. Stopped, switched off . Went to shop, came back, refused to start. Finally did. drove home. Switched off ,tried a restart and its refusung to start. Starting to wish I'd never bought it as its had a brand new battery, crank sensor and been swore at a lot! Any ideas? Fuel pump seems fine with fuel getting to filter etc. No faults showing with pressure sensor. So its simply being a pain in the proverbal .Thanks/

UPDATE.

This morning after cranking the engine for a few minutes it eventually started and its starting ok now. This is what it did before.
I ran complete diagnostic tests, including injectors, fuel pressure, stating sequence etc. No Codes showing. So everything is as it should be.
Will add its a 3litre V6 diesel .

Ignition switch is a common failure item on that vintage L322.

It would be useful to know some more symptoms on this. Does it crank or not would be the first question.
If it cranks, is it smoking (like unburnt fuel)? Unlikely but still worth asking.
Help us to help you a bit mate, if you're this vague with the questions all you'll get from anyone is interpretation.

You can't "get this checked out" you need a be able to read data in real time, even a very cheap code reader will be a worthwhile investment here.
 
I thought it was clear that the engine cranks, hence it eventually started? You can get it checked out ,with a code reader. I have a proffesional one and again I did say that it throws up no codes/so obviously must be using a code reader? No it isnt smoking at at all. And didnt think I was being vague at all.

2003 it was an M57 straight six.

And there's your interpretation.
No, it wasn't clear that it cranks just because it eventually started, if the starter wasn't working it would not crank but may eventually turn over and start.

The way I read your comment about "getting it checked out" to me meant that you were taking it somewhere to get it done rather than you having your own diagnostic.

My mistake, I've learned. All the best.
