Increasing the engine torque from 440Nm to 600Nm necessitated a transmission upgrade to the 2nd generation ZF 6HP28 unit. The 2.7 had the 1st generation 6HP26.

Can#t answer that question, But I have fitted the Range rover sport autobox into my Discovery 3. Everything is the same there.
