L322 3 litre diesel is the clue, definitely the GM box.
Ah I was thinking 06 6 speed is zf same as disco3, even the disco 4 with 3 litre did not get the 8speed box until 2011/12

Sport mode will only get to tc lock in 4th,
Drive will go into 5th,
Sit at 60 70 then put it across to sport it'll shift to 4th,
4th is top gear for sport mode
