First answer is: all cables takes unit to around £500 . They were doing a deal if bought together.
Second answer is: I decided to stay original and replaced the amp. So have no idea what back looks like.
Then we go on to I can't find part number xkq000020 , but doesn't mean it doesn't exist . Mine is xkq000030
Can you double check?
Yours would definitely need the extra cables for the amp to work. I’ve seen the LEAR number on the amp so know it’s definitely correct and ATD did say if I had the amp ending 30 I’d need additional cables which one alone was £150! Definitely not the case with mine but still struggling to see why there’s no volume..

Think you need to goooooogle Resler interface and I-bus app to make it work @landy02 , (here I go again sorry chaps and lady type chaps) have a wander over to fullfatrr forum L322 electronic section info on there about this.

Looking at the link I posted it only relates to the BMW head unit and not the one fitted to the HSE.
So do all l322s have the speakers wired to the rear quarter and either plugged into an amp OR connected directly to the harness to the head unit?
Or does the HSE have the speakers wired directly to the dash?

Good find.
This is a more drawn out/in depth of the explanation the guys gave me by email. I was going for option 3 , as it was the only one that kept all speakers in play.
I still think the issue is either the ATD guys think, they supplied for a Vogue with satnav unit OR the unit received is the Ford compatible.
The explanation in the article doesn’t relate to my amp unfortunately as it’s not a DSP. I’ll try emailing them with all the photos and see if they can explain how to sort it.

Hopefully the previous owner hasn't butchered the wiring for a different head unit and then replaced it with the standard one again before you bought it.

The wiring looks good, someone’s been in the dash as a few of the screws are missing. All of the harnesses are in tact with the surround and clips and can’t see that water has got into the boot either. The audio holder looks complete too which makes me think the audio system has not been replaced at some point.

I hope you get a fix. Not just for you but for anyone else who follows :)

You say you have an amp in the boot so have you bypassed it?
Also does the amp look like one of these?

Mine is the third one along basic with amplifier no DSP.
I’ve taken the amp out today and would say that’s the problem as the connectors are corroded by water damage I would say. I’ve ordered a second hand amp so will hopefully receive by Wednesday and see if that sorts it …
