Hi,

Looking for advice please
I’m trying to change the radio for a Range Rover L322 2003 Vogue 4.4 V8 to an android system. The old radio didn’t work as it was the old type without navigation and was pixelated. I thought I’d try and upgrade to the android system. I’ve plugged everything in and the system comes on ok but I’ve not got any sound. The amp in the back is the LEAR xkq000020.
Any ideas please as to why there’s no sound?

Did you buy the android system from the bay?
If yes:
Did you buy with ALL cables required to marry to original system?
If no: you will need to go back,to seller and either buy all cables. Or buy the amp that will by-pass system but will not give all speakers.

Addit: just realised you said 'vogue' but no sat-nav* . Sooooooo.......maybe @kds or @backinblack might be able to help.
* never known a vogue not to have the satnav system

I bought the system from Auto Tech Direct as a plug and play system with all of the cables required. I’ll try and attach a photo of the original audio system. Everything works just not the volume. I’ve also checked the power going to the amp in the boot and there’s power.

Two weird things: no matter how many times Intype auto tech direct , I get audio tech direct.
Also SatNav was standard in the Vogue. Wonder why yours didn't get it. You sure it's a Vogue and not just a badge someone put on it?

Which unit did you buy?

I’m not sure, I know the HSE doesn’t have the sat nav but also doesn’t have an amp in the boot. The l322 3.0td6 2005 I have does have the sat nav system so wouldn’t change that but with the 2003 I thought rather than fix the pixelated display I’d buy an upgrade so that I could have sat nav and Bluetooth.

IMO you have the standard head unit for the HSE model. I have the later touch screen so I haave no idea but I believe it is possible to make it work.

Excuse my stupidity but does that mean single DIN . Rather than double DIN which ATD believe Vogue to require.

I gave my registration number and details of the rear amp before buying to make sure it would fit and asked if I needed any other cables which I was told I didn’t and would work with the amp. I’m now starting to wonder…

This is the one I’ve purchased
That looks a lot like the one I was going to buy from ATD. I'm not sure if I posted the saga on here, but it was quite convoluted.
However, the good news is , the guys at ATD are really good at guiding you through what you need to make it work. Either with or without original amp.
Did you purchase it with all the cables ( just over £200) ? Or as supposed plug and play , without the cables. Which it actually isn't.

It is double the size of a standard/old style radio so double din. Radio display with tape deck above.
I looked into it when I was trying to decide which L322 to buy (Vogue or HSE)

Bear with me . I will try to find the bay messages between them and myself.

I paid £259.99 with all the cables and asked them more than once to check if I needed any other cables so that I could get them altogether just to be sure.
This is the photo of the rear of the android system

First answer is: all cables takes unit to around £500 . They were doing a deal if bought together.
Second answer is: I decided to stay original and replaced the amp. So have no idea what back looks like.
Then we go on to I can't find part number xkq000020 , but doesn't mean it doesn't exist . Mine is xkq000030
Can you double check?
