Please help, driving me mad, P-reg range rover 4.0

My heater is on full hot unless you switch the panel to low at which point it has cold aircon. No adjustment in between??

Any ideas?

thanks for the link.

The only reason i question it is because i can get full cold aircon, which sugests the motors aare blending the hot out?

the blend motors are the same on both the poverty spec and the ones with digital display i think. for a short term fix, can you turn off the aircon with a button(ive never seen the poverty spec console)

Could be the switch is faulty. At least the blends are moving through the range.
As Gav says..switch the aircon off and see what temperature control you have then.
I know Gemsdad had a spare good one, just a thought.....

Those manual controls are more difficult to get hold of than the HEVAC!!

The switch on the unit could be checked out with a multimeter. I'd go for that first before jumping straight in at the blend motor.

Thanks for the replies guys!:)

It does have the lcd with the two temp switches (does that mean i havnt got a poverty spec one:eek: ;))

Today it was fine so my problem is intermitent, ive just bought the car and it looks like someones been there and tried to repair before because the walnut trim has come away!

Any ideas then, is it easy to have all blend motors out and check them?

Thanks in advance!

Before you jump in and spend £200 ish on a set of blend motors try and get a diagnostic check on the HEVAC. Now we know you have the usual set up, it can be done cheaper at an Independant or by someone with Rovacom or Autologic. Takes all of 15 minutes to check the system out. Where are you based?? (Wish people would put their location on their profile).
Maybe there is a local member with the kit who can do it for you for a good price.
Don't go to a Main Stealer, they will charge you at least 1hrs labour.

£200??? i got a set and the proper air filter box for 20 quid and did em myself!!!

if you do em yourself make sure you dont pull the cogs off the heater box like i did or it'll be a pain to re align em. its quite an easy job really i was suprised eveyone makes a fuss about em but if your patient its easy!:D:D:D:D
