right for those who may be interested....got a p38 diesel, and due to a
slight missunderstanding regards engine oil....we blew the engine up...so had to change it.......for those who think they have a modicum of inteligence this job will prove how stupid we can be,,,,,anyway....found an engine out of a bmw saloon....so duly changed all the parts sump/oil pic up/oil filter housing etc........then found it wouldn,t start...the fault was the pump////
which was off the bmw car engine and wouldn,t work with the r/r ecu/etc
so changed the pump to the original r/r pump and bingo...runs like a good un.......now here i need a little help....if anybody there might be kind enough to come to my aid..................the auto gearbox pipes to the cooler were at best slightly damaged..upon removal....thus rendering them u.s,
now i,v put on a new water cooling radiator...with an oil cooler in the bottom part....but
the auto pipes went to a small rad in front of the front left wing....is it poss due to the damaged thread on the old small rad....to connect the auto gearbox cooling pipes to the bottom part of the new water rad........if this makes sense anywhere an opinion would be very gratefully recieved....my thanks in anticipation as always.
