Hi There,

a friend of mine has a 4.0 2000 petrol range rover, which is low on power, especially when going up hill.
It seems like the fuel filter is blocked, but after looking there doesn't seem to be one on the underside of the vehicle.

Anyone have any ideas what we can check?

check condition of ignition system, when was is last sreviced etc, has this been a sudden loss or gradual over a number of weeks/trips?

Has just been serviced. The problem was there before servicing, and has gradually gotten worse over time.

I will take a look at the air flow meter, is it just the same as many other types, where you can give it a clean?

Different car but I had a V6 Mazda before the rangey which developed the same problem going up hills, turned out there was a split in the pipe after the AFM, meant too much air was being sucked in and for some reason it was worse going uphill....
Just a little something to check for
