Hi all,

Going to look at a 2000 4.0l with a full service history & 78k miles tomorrow.

What should I be looking for?

Thanks,

Davie

Over heating head gasket or liner-liner is new engine, bcem faults, air suspension faults- syphilis

overheating, book and ! symbal on hevac, overheating, electricals all work, overheating, then the normal checks on buying a used car,oh did i mention overheating, carpet on the drivers side gearbox tunnel if its wet the o-rings on the heater matrix are leaking, air suspension all works if its been converted to coils me personaly would walk away,i could go on but i aint got all night.
dont let me put you off if you can twirl the spanners youll be alright there a great car when there going well and can be very cheap with faults,i payed a grand for mine year 2000 4.0 hse on an x plate 93k on the clock to give you some idea

when you been all over it took it for a good drive leave engine running fell the top hose if you cannot move it walk away, look it heather tank for bronze bits in the water if you see any walk away. there are other ways to look for crap in the water, if you can try take somebody with you..
