I've got a 96 Discovery registered from new in Spain ( great no rust :) )
Its fitted with shock absorbers which are each connected by small bore plastic pipes to a manifold in the engine bay and what I think is a compressor.
Inside there are 2 pressure gauges, calibrated from soft to hard as the pressure is increased; a button which actuates the compressor and 2 buttons which release air pressure from 2 separate circuits, one for each gauge.
I assume that this is a system for varying ride stiffness rather than a conventional air suspension system. the gauges have makers name "Rancho".
Anybody ever had any experience of this sort of system, is it worth having or should I revert to standard type shocks, etc. etc.
