No sensible fix.
Looks like the weight of the fan + vibration has fractured a joint on the matrix.
These tubes are quite thin copper not up to having stuff hanging on them.
If you drain the rad, and remove the filaments around the leaking joint if its cleaned up well you can possibly fix with flux, thick solder and a blow lamp.
Have managed this in the past but didnt last a great length of time as the rad was pretty tired anyways.
If its a small leak the radweld additives can work as a temporary measure but they will fail again and can cause clogging in some of the other tubes in the matrix if too much is used.

I replaced my radiator recently. Is it worth getting my old genuine rad refurbished seeing as genuine rads arent cheap to buy?

I stuck a screwdriver through mine, slipped whilst working on it.

Repaired it by working 'Milliput' into the damaged area, it was still going good three years later:)

No luck, recore or get one off ebay, Champion I think they are called to aluminium cored ones for about £80. Excellent rad.

I would NEVER use those fan installation ties fan manufacturers supply or cable ties to hold the fan onto the rad, it's a terrible plan and will lead to this.

Yeh what a tit, who ever did it. Im slowly getting things done to it but someone down the line was a right bodger with this one

Anyone know of anywhere in South Yorks that re-cores rads?

took 30 seconds and long distance
