Hi
can any one tell me if the land rover /range rover cassete /cd changer prc7617 will do the same job as the prc7618?
I',m looking to change it coz myine is not working (5 years now) and I would like to have music again, or is there and easy way to addapt another head unit?

as far as im aware the clarion and the alpine units are not interchangable,, but i may be wrong.

No more ACE and no more Suspension are bags - Yippie! Last year I replaced my 1999 TD5 discoveries ACE system with the anti-roll bar kit.Last month I replaced the air bag suspension with springs, same time replacing new shocks. In all honesty, I have found no difference in the handling of the car at all.Since doing this, I already look 10 years younger for my age! My radio/cassette player has now given up on me.Can anyone tell me if the Pioneer DEH-x4900bt is compatible with my car? There is also a 16 pin dvd head unit adaptor that goes with it. ANY answers ASAP very much appreciated! Happy Xmas to you all out there!

Slow down there fellah, you only need to post your question once, in the correct section. You have a Discovery and your question relates to a Discovery so that should suffice.

If you have a Clarion they can be sent to Clarion service centre and refurbed for around £100.00 with warranty. http://www.clarion-service.co.uk/cs/Home.html

I've got an Alpine stereo, LCD display has gone, I don't suppose there is a similar deal for these as for the Clarions i.e. the repair and warranty service?
