Some of you Part no Experts maybe able to help

I have just (last month or so) bought a JVC DVD all singing head unit to go into my 2001 P38

took it around to a audio specialist for installation - on looking at it they mentioned they needed to order a fascia part to match the Rang Rover centre console.

as every one knows the fitted head unit on the has the fasia that on the right is square and on the left has a rounded corner (top left) to fit the contour of the dash.

Question.
is there a RR (LR) part no for a fasia to alow the instalation of a more standard DIN sized radio?

a part no would be appriaciated so that i can contact a supplier direct and get the part direct as i have been waiting 3 weeks I detect the aroma of BS from the audio installer.

cheers & Happy Trails

Blanking off side plates are about £1 each from any radio accessory's place, i got a set for myself everyone will have them

You can even get covers for the blanking plates so they march in with the wood, i too a pick for you of mine for you

Well there the same ones on the ebay pick, i just added the walnut wood on them with 3M backing on it, so if you want to pay £18 thats your choice

or just Google Fascia Adaptor

Yeh, but, it won't look as good as dopey's real walnut finish.

Do you have a green woolnut tree, I'm not keen on the blue, it's a bit common

I think thats a generic 3M tree or maybe a 2M tree? a original Land Rover genuine parts one is red

Thanks for the feedback

& allowing for the 3mn tree to grow in peace....

If i do fit a more conventional radio am i going to get problems with it not being compatable with the amping within the p 38

I was reading a thread from a few months`s ago and it mentioned that a re-wire had to be undertaken on the speakers to a when RR intalled the Harmon kardon system is wasnt a full std ISO wiring set-up

I run a 2001 p38 and was wondering if on the later models this unusuallity was recitifed?

any feedback would be appreciated

PS i assume that the 3m tree is fertilized with BS?

happy trails

Abe
