Hi,

Know I am prob asking a silly easy question but feel its better to ask than make a mistake ?

Have a 2005 SE TD4, with the factory 6 disc headunit + wheel controls.

I have a facia adapter to fit an aftermarket radio in but am getting mixed answers regarding the wiring adapters required.

Can someone please either supply me with Autoleads part numbers or even better url's to the items i need.

Many thanks in advance.

Mark

I cant give you a part number but I know that it depends on what radio you have fitted.

I am in the proccess of doing the same thing.

My VDO head unit display and all the buttons stop responding so my trusty old sony is going in.

I will need to put in the sony changer rather than the alpine unit that is in at the moment.

as for the controls I am just going to make my own.

If you give me a bit more information then I may be able to tell you what you need

In the auto leads system it is a two part set.. one from the cars wireing to the box and one to the head

I dont know if yours is different to mine but it should be just 4 allan screws in the 4 holes .. undo these and it should just slide out

Hi Mark, I have ghanged my standard head unit for a Sony single disc player. It was 4 allen keys around the corners and it slid out. As for the wiring, I found that the BMW adaptor was cheaper to buy than the freelander one, and that was in halfords.
