Hello!

My Freelander's radio clock broke down and now I need to enter the code, which I do know. Problem is that I can't see anything so I need to insert it blindly. Radio is R770.
I tried using > button to select digit (I presume the default digits there are all 0's at first), saved it by holiding preset 1 and then using > button to select the next digit and so on. Lastly just in case pressed preset 1 several times, and even held it down, but no false code beep or correct code beep.

I tried my old stereo from Peugeot 307 but it also wont turn on, still needs LR radio code?

If anyone has the battery disconnected and needs to enter the code afterwards, maybe take some picture of code entry or a quick video :D

Thanks.

Some updates.
Apparently I had entered the false code several times and it needed time to...let me re-enter it. I thought it recovered when ignition/stereo off, but it needs to be on. I got it to beep once (false code beep).
So can anybody remember by heart the first default values of the code digits (0000 or maybe 1111)?

It's surely easier to get a working clock. Otherwise you'll be using guess work. You'll need the display for station identification too.

There's no default code as far as I can remember
No, I mean the digits at starting postition, or do you mean that instead of digits there are some other characters at first? Like '-' or "X"?
Nodge68,
Will do, some other time, but now I just need the radio to work. About the station ID's - I dont listen to many, and surely the autoscan finds the one I need :D

Got it to work! Inspiration from a youtube video about rover radio code entry.
Basically first preset 1 and number 0 appears, use triangle left or right for right digit and preset again. After the final preset I heard a sweet beep and it started! :)
