Radiator mounting - early in the build

I feel a bit of a div asking this but I can't remember back when disassembling.

Basically, I'll shortly be in a position to think about starting the engine but before I can do that, I need to get all the plumbing connected and topped up. I currently have the rolling chassis with bulkhead, engine, gear & transfer box, soon to have seatbox loosely in place with battery and soon to have wiring 'first fix' so to speak. I don't have any bodywork on apart from the b/head.

Can I safely mount the radiator/intercooler assy at this stage or do I need the wings on to fix it in place?

you can but it in loosely ,supported by front braces

The hoses will hold it all OK IMHO.
Dangle the expansion bottle off a bungee from a joist or something.
A bungee pulling the rad/intercooler frame forward for insurance if your worried.

As said the front braces will hold the radiator frame in position no need to fix the wings
