Radiator hose split - where on a Sunday

Hi

Where would I be able to get a top radiator hose on a Sunday?

Is this something Halfords are likely to stock? Motor is a 4.0 V8

I need the car on the road for Monday morning, so frantically trying to source a part tomorrow.

I am located near Berwick Upon Tweed.

Halfords used to keep a universal type one...but No they will not stock OE

You may be able to get a repair tape type stuff-silicon is your best bet, but it is only temporary. I've a LR indi here in Stanley who's open on a sunday, but it's a long way from Berwick

I repaired a split hose 'in the field' with greenline sealing tape - the stuff works miracles, held up to a near-overheat when coolant was being forced past a jubilee clip.

Not sure where you'd get it though - I sourced it from a former work colleague...

i fixed one on mine with a bit of bike frame and 2 jubilee clips

Could try wrapping it tight with cling film then gaffer tape and leave the rad cap off till you get a new hose.

I cut the pip in half where my split in the pipe was and then fitted in a bit of plastic drain pipe that I had laying around from fitting a sink and put some clips round .... Lasted till new pipes turned up what took a week
