Try stickin' an air line (between yer fingers coverin' one of the holes) in it tae help blow some of the water out. If it doesn' smell of petrol then use a hairdrier like what was mentioned earlier;) :D

If it doesn't smell of petrol you could use a blow lamp - lol

Stand it up overnight so either the intake side or turbo side is pointing downwards to any dribbles can come out. There's no way come the morning there's going to be enough water in there to damage anything.

Recently had the air filter in me 90 sopping wet after some fording... when the water comes through the filter it's in a seriously fine mist - just the same as it would be if it's blown off the inside of yer IC. Hydraulic lock needs a hell of a lot more water than a few tiny droplets anyway.

Use a hairdryer for peace of mind like buster suggests if it's still bothering yer ;)

Cheers,

cheers folk,

worried more about the petrol and things going bang or catching fire to be honest :)

got plenty to do tomorrow anyway, so the IC has most of tomorrow too. will use a hair drier on it last before refitting.

thanks for all your help.

hoses are cracking and the elbow by the turbo swells up on boost.

got some nice shiney new blue hoses for the IC and standard rad hoses

think i'll leave the IC on top of the boiler over night once i've flused it - nice and warm to dry it out

cheers

mine wasnt that dirty to be honest. 2 flushed with petrol and it all came out. dont think it had been cleaned before, but then it hadnt seen any mud before i got hold of it either. no noticable diff to performance either like some are suggesting. guess it depends on the amount of crud in there.
