2002 TD5 Diesel Auto here!

Going to put a rad cleaner through the old beast and remember seeing an instructional post about flushing the tank afterwards to get rid of the stuff.

I seem to remember the member saying that you are always going to be left with a couple of litres even if you take the nut out of the bottom. It this the case?

Would I need to just flush and flush with a hose to dilute it down ir is there a way of getting ALL thr liquid out of the rad?

Cheers guys and gals.

You'll have to direct a garden hose into the tank, remove the drain plug, let the water flow into the tank, start the engine and let it idle untill you see clear water coming out of the drain(push up the revs to 2000rpm few times and for few seconds) , when i did mine took about 5 minutes untill the water was crystal

Would you have to open the heater valve, manual or auto control, to complete a full flush ?

Hi mate I'm just going to try and be meticulous about this, because my level of expertise is low and I don't want to do anything I later regret.
mentioned earlier that the nut is not an option so I'm going to have to drain via the hoses.

If I can get the bottom hose off, can I carry put same procedure with the hose rather than the bolt?
