Hi Dudes,

Purchased a Synergy 2 from Fleebay for £150 notes now Im looking at this MAF from Eurocarparts quoting their part number 434220200 for about £65 delivered.

Is this the correct better MAF to fit or should I just keep my original in place and see how it goes?

Regards

well i would recommend purchasing one and fitting it at the same time as your synergy.

even tho my original was fine, i got the better maf as the synergy does recommend fitting one for better performance.

so i fitted both at the same time.

changed mine together, added a K+N filter today and it runs great now, real quick aswell :D:D:D

As far as I know the Pierburgh is indeed the one recommended with the Synergy unit.

Sorry, maybe compare (if possible) the part number given by Pierburgh on the unit itself ?
(Not the seller's catalogue number). (But would these extra 10£ matter if you can be re-assured of the correct combination given by RoverRon ??)

There's no point in changing a working maf, keep the original.

You don't say you have any symptoms of a faulty or out of spec maf.

The synergy has a maf compensator, that's what it's for, compensating for an out of spec maf. If you don't need it leave it switched off, if you do, use the adjustment to decide on a setting based on removing the symptoms.

Well Im off on hols for a week from today so testing the MAF sensor and fitting the Synergy will have to be done next weekend.

Im going to keep the current MAF sensor and see how it goes and if needs be I'll change it later.

Regards and thanks all.

Well I purchased a Synergy 2A from Ebay and the bloody things got lost in the post, was expecting it before this weekend.

Not my day, was looking to see if it works as well as you guys say.

Owe well.
