Just a quick one,

Trying to get use to the normal behaviour of my air suspension! Dam thing seems to have a life of its own. :p

Plugged in my cable and read the fault codes today and it came back with "Vehicle has moved"

rswsolutions has it listed as an air leak... but I've also been told just to ignore this as my driveway is at an angle so my rangie sits with the passenger side front lower then the drivers side rear

Had a nose underneth and the front airbags look to have light cracking so i'm guessing they will need done at some point, rears are new. The car loses some of its height overnight but pumps up nice and quick on starting but I always put this down to the self leveling on my tilted drive.

So, do you guys think I have a leak or is this normal behaviour for a rangie parked like this?

Normal behaviour. My front driveway is also at a slope, I usually park on it overnight and most mornings the Rangie has settled to the bumpstops. If I park in the road which is pretty level it will stay up for days. (Well, never left it unmoved for more than 2 actually). It'll rise up to normal hight with a few seconds of being started. To check for leaks, make up a solution of water with a few drops of washing up liquid in a spray bottle and squirt the bags, pipes, compressor, valves etc. Any leaks will show up as bubbles. My air bags are showing quite a few a lot of surface cracks, but not leaking - yet.

If the 'vehicle has moved' fault is the only one listed then I wouldn't worry too much about it. It won't cause a fault.

You ought to plan to replace the cracked airbags though as they are probably leaking.

If you can see cracks in the airbags then it's sooner rather than later to relpace them before one lets go. Vehicle has moved is not a fault, it just indicates a height sensor reading has changed i.e the car has dropped since the engine was turned off.

Feel free to go with Britpart on the bags. Britpart get a lot of flack for their quality, often deservedly, but AFAIK nobody's complained about the airsprings which in addition are also very well priced. I've been on a set about 3 years now, no complaints.

ps. don't get their shocks though!
