it should have said it was on mtf after the rebuild to run it in, now it is on atf and is a lot quieter and smoother. It's also easier to select 2nd and 3rd and the specialist claimed atf is kinder to the syncros
 
Mine was a bit of a pig to get into some gears, very sloppy. Bias springs and stop adjustment helped a lot, and while I was at it I swapped out the nylon cup and fitted a synchro gearboxes slickshift
 

It won't necessarily get worse. My 110 has improved over time, maybe due to the longer journeys l've done in it, or the 40,000 extra miles. Whatever, it shifts nicer than when l got it and all l have done is to change the gearbox/transfer box oils.

I did recently adjust the bias springs and grease the ball at the base of the gear lever, but mainly to stop the lever vibrating/buzzing loudly in third and fourth when accelerating hard.
And it's a lot better although it still buzzes a bit.
