Hello everyone

I'm in the market to purchase a land rover discovery 4 probably second hand must be with the new interior.
The questions I have is mpg also tax.
If I'm thinking correctly the one I have been looking at is a 3ltr but just inquisitive of what mpg you get as what they state in the garages it has always been a lot lower with all cars I have purchased so to someone who owns one please can I ask what mpg you are getting and how much to fill the tank up and how many miles per full tank.
And I am assuming tax is the top bracket £400 ish.
Thanks in advance,
Emma.

Ok road tax £500 so can I ask again to anyone who owns one of these what they are getting mpg how much to fill the tank and how many miles to a full tank.
Land rover are saying 30ish so if this is true it's not to bad but just need that confirmed by someone who owns one please.

Bloody hell you guys are hard,
I just need to know what mpg for tax reasons.
So once again to all those who OWN one what mpg do you actually get.

If you're worried about the mpg id say you cant afford to run one

i would say that if you managed 30mpg out of a discovery 4 you'd be doing extremely well and probably on a decent run not round town. You wont get much change out of £130 - £140 to fill the tank at £1.40 p/litre.

according to the neighbour but he says it depends on yr right foot

yep thats what neighbour said

I looked at Disco3's and 4's when I needed a 7 seater but came to the following conclusions:-
I can't afford 15mpg around town and 27mpg on the motorway.
I can't afford £400+ road tax per year.
I can't afford £200+ per corner for tyres.
I can't afford the spares when all the electronics/uneccessary gizmo's fail.
I don't want the hassle of having to take the Disco to a class 7 MOT test centre because it weighs 2.7 tonnes.

Guess this is the wrong forum for me, all I wanted to know is what I asked and instead I had loads of garbage.
Thanks guys that was a nice welcome to a new member.
