So. I've got a set of tubed tyres on my landy at the moment and I want to keep these on. I also wish to put my old modulars back on along with them as the current steelys seem to be causing it to vibrate like nothing else. I've had these exact same tyres on the modulars with tubes before and they've been fine. Problem is that my current tubes seem to be commercial ones which apparently have thicker valves. Do I drill out the hole for the valve to be slightly larger so that I can use my current tubes (my preferred option) or do I wait till I've got cash and buy standard tubes with thinner valves (which won't be till payday now). I'm keen to get them changed sooner rather than later as the vibration im getting is quite unbearable on the motorway

drill the holes out.

You do get plastic addapter things that go over the small valve to make it fit a big hole if you need to at a later date....

dont know where from but Ive seen/got them on tubes :)
