hello i have done a quick search and because there are so many different types of steering and diff guards i though it will be more specific if i put pics on of the product..

i have a disco 1 200tdi 93 model.. i have i of these

i also have to diff guards i have the front one on but the fuel tank seems
to be getting in the way of it goin on.. the guards i have are these...

I've got a diff cover ready to go on and had the same problem - like Urban Panzer said, if you jack the chassis (if you have a tow bar, use this to jack on) and the body will lift and the axel will drop. I still haven't fitted mine though as I got it jammed between the diff and fuel tank whilke trying to fit it, got annoyed and took it off again. That was 2 weeks ago and I still haven't revisited it!
 
yep jack the chasisis and you get some clearance round the diff.Got the steering guard on yet?
