For those of you that are interested..

I decided to fit a push button start system as a low cost fix to sort what those there chavs done to my disco. Mines an ES auto which had a blank plate next to the leccy wingmirror controls (must have come with the 'council pack').

Behind that was a fascia which clips to a metal panel behind the dash, so I stuck the push button there along with a ignition flick switch next to it (fixed through the PU foam dash).

You only need the switches no point wasting yer dosh on a wiring kit..

quite like the look of that, would probably have put the ignition switch elsewhere tho - at least away from the ignition and preferably out of sight. looks very professional tho (apart from the ring around the push-button not being straight), good job!

A very nice job but i also agree that i would have had the ignition toggle switch in a different place or hidden out of sight.

Nice job all the same

Thanks
tbh I don't think it'll make any difference hiding the switch would be a piece off **** to follow the wires - the EDC system is what's stopping it from being robbed

if you car is parked on the driveway at night, you could fit a caravan 240v electric socket and wire it upto the door handles. Then leave it plugged in all night, that would give the little fookers a shock lol

Ha in true home-alone style, could even stretch to leaving toy cars on the floor near the drivers door.
Anyway I live in a nice area don't you know, other than the odd travelling carney..

i reckon it would be worth leaving a tenner in plain sight of the drivers window.....Just to hear them scream and watch their hair stand on end...For more fun makesure your driveway surface is always wet lol
