Has anybody used any tyre sealants that reduce punctures? I really need a soloution for tubed and tubeless tyres 900x16. Anyone actually tried it? Jai

I have put that tyre slime into the disco - I ordered the £7 bottles (the one as used by all royal mail fleet vehicles). I think the size I got was actually meant for MC tyres however I rekcon they sell you more than you need. Also I have slightly bigger than normal tyres. I suppose if you have more then it will find and fill a puncture quicker.

Also, if anyone has a leak at the bead: It says it won't work for bead leaks but I didn't believe that and I was right, took the wheel off - uninflated it by removing the valve pin and filled it up on it's side, so it would run round the bottom of the rim, I swirled it round a bit then turned it over and did it again. Then filled with air - hasn't leaked in months now.

I will put it in all my tyres when I get the chance as I think it really is great stuff - one thing I would stress is, with it fitted you may not spot nails and screws in the tyre because it will not deflate so I would recommend checking them every now and again.

Used to use it when racing motorbike Enduros (many years ago) but never needed it on 4x4's.

But it does work well, used one front wheel for a full season and no punctures, when we replaced the tyre at the end of the season there were quite a few thorns inside!!

I had ultra seal put in my caravan wheels.. £12.50 a tyre.. I think it's a little more for cars.. but they come and do it for you.. it's a franchise I believe so you'll have to look about for your local peeps but every country show etc I've been to has had someone there and they often have good deals if you get it done on the spot..

great peace of mind and I don't even carry the caravan spare any more..

I'm gonna get the Alfa done when I change the tyres but not sure on the discovery..

I bought some from some one who was selling that amway stuff, put it in the ride on mower as the back tryres were a bit perished, didnt have to blow up the tyres for 2 years after that, then I traded it in.
