Mark,

I have sort off the same problem, only not via Ebay but LR forum member who lost the manual.

Did you have any response or answer from anyone, PSI will be letting me wait as well as you.

Thanks

ir i recall correctly, they have 7 possibly 8 wires, live and earth and an on off wire, the rest just piggyback onto the 5 yellow wires coming from red plug on the back of the ecu,i removed mine a long time ago and got a proper remap from td5 alive, before you do fit it take off the cover to the psi and make sure it is the right one for your car,it should have a sticker on the inside, there are quite a few different variations of the psi boxes, pre 2001 post 2001 manual/auto etc.if you get the wrong one it will run like a bag of poo.

Mark,

I found out and connected mine the way it is supposed to.

Just a few questions to put down on the last remark. If your TD5 is before 2003 them they are all the same, including the Defender, even the less powerfull engines in tje Defender. PSI made 1 box for those and they work as they should do.

Yes, at the end a job like TD5 Alive can do with intercooler and stuff is the better one....and the more expensive. If you want your TD5 to drive like a speeding car them doit like that, if you want a bitmore power to pull off more easy and for example like me have some extra to pull the heavy trailer the PSI box is a good alternative.

It as easy as you see and was just explained.....the 5 with wires solder to the yellow wires on the red connector at the ECU. (1 yellow wire and 4 yellow with marking color, based besides eachother on the connector)

+ to the battery, - to the mass....

the other black one or in some cases the purple one is an on and off switch which I didn't connect...

So 7 wires to connect.

Then open the box and you can adjust the powersettings, not all are set the standard settings and there is a big difference between them.

If you need anymore help let me know, I am experimenting with the settings to find the best for my needs.

Mark,

When you have connected the box.....then the important thing needs to be done, I just changed the power settings and now it really goes like you have a different car!!!

Take the four screws out and lift the top of, you see at one end a row of pins (I think 8) with to caps on it. You must take the caps of and replace them at the outer pair of pins. I have a pdf file where you can see the drawings on but without it, it's as simple as it sounds. Put it back together and start the fun!!!!!
