Hi everyone, not sure if this is quite the right section for this but it seems it fits best here. Basically I am thinking of doing some sort of trip where I/we would visit several off road sites (moving from east to west) depending of course on availability or perhaps a few green lanes.

The journey is primarily to go to the mighty Walters Arena to take on some of the toughest obstacles in the country. Whilst in Wales, it would be shame not to do some green laning either. I have never planned such a trip before but I would hope to make it as enjoyable as possible and when green laning may be concerned, I would be happy to let a more experienced person take the lead or if they know the area better.

In terms of timescale, I would probably be looking at mid-late august and perhaps breaking very early into the September. Trip may last around a week. Of course you don't have to do the whole trip. I live in the east (near Peterborough so I guess the original meeting place would be somewhere in that direction although if you live out in Wales or that direction I suppose it would make more sense to meet the group later on.

As for accommodation, I know it is traditional Landyzone style to camp but I am open to suggestions here (and to other things for that matter).

Numbers for this trip can be quite high as plenty of people can fit into Walters Arena and other P&P's for that matter however if larger numbers of people want to take part green laning might become an issue.

Beginner or off road veteran you are welcome to come. However, as a minimum you must have all terrain tyres, recovery points and recovery gear (not necessarily a winch). Your vehicle needs to be road worthy, taxed MOT'd etc with breakdown cover and so on.

As said this is no definite event and if it does go ahead there is a lot to sort out, though there is plenty of time. If you are interested please say so below I need a rough idea of numbers etc. Also this was originally suggested in my Facebook group DefenderProject (please see link in my signature and be sure to 'like' if you haven't already for more news about this trip and much more.

Thanks.
